amazing
I just told someone that all I want to listen to in the fall is pop punk and banjo music.
But then I realized that’s all I listen to no matter what season it is.
Except June.
June is for Mongoloids.
And September is for Have Heart.
It’s September now.
My birthday is in 14 days.
Help.
Roll Over Beethoven - Chuck Berry
stuck in my head all day
I like almost any type of music. I can get down on some country, I can get down on some Dre, I can get down on some bluegrass, some hardcore, some pop punk, whatever. If it’s catchy, if it reminds me of good times, I’ll probably like it.
Then again, I don’t listen to the radio and I’m always behind on new pop music. But I don’t have a problem with previously underground bands going mainstream. GOOD FOR YOU! They’re making the money they deserve. I’ve got too many friends in bands that would kill for a record deal. Make good music, but pay your rent.
I was just talking to someone last night about how I don’t have a musically inclined brain at all. I’ve tried to play three different instruments and none of them worked out. Probably because I always got the sense that math was somehow involved and math makes me want to gag. But I really admire the people who can make good music. Makes me giddy.
That the majority of music in my itunes (minus the pop punk and hardcore, obviously, but speaking of, I’m still determined to find a folk hardcore crossover band, just imagine the mongoloids with a BANJO) is in a bluegrass version.
So, that’s my summer.
